Sims Patrick Studio designer Ginger Willis, has donated her hair not once, but twice, to Locks Of Love, a charity organization that takes donor hair and weaves it into wigs and hairpieces for children under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Most recently, Ginger donated 12" of hair last summer, and she donated 13"+ during her senior year of high school. The second time around Ginger had been thinking about cutting her hair for a while, but decided to wait until after her wedding so she could still wear a fancy wedding hair-do. After the wedding she was ready for a new, exciting hairstyle.
With haircuts, Ginger's motto has always been, "It grows back!" so she decided to go all out and donate. Ginger went to her awesome stylist, Dee, at Yol'z Salon and Spa of Vinings, and hubby Haisten went with to take photos and celebrate. "It was a lot of fun, and I really love my new hairstyle. I keep going shorter every time I get a trim!" said Ginger. "Donating hair is an easy way to do something charitable, and I encourage anyone thinking of cutting 10"+ (the minimum requirement) to donate." said Ginger.
